Ventech Systems sponsors Weather Enthusiast

New private weather station for Upper Hutt

He’s been a weather enthusiast since his childhood and now the big dream of building his own weather station has come true. With the help of Ventech Systems and other businesses in the Hutt, Daniel Talbot started his own weather station with a photo shoot and a ground-breaking ceremony. The Upper Hutt City council is supporting the project and is really happy about the number of businesses who jumped in since 2017 to make the idea a reality. Peter Fisher from MetService is very keen on using more locally accurate data as well and is pleased with the high-tech equipment Daniel has chosen.

Sensitive and very valuable state-of-the-art equipment has to be housed in a stable and reliable environment – so a perfect opportunity for Dennis Hill from Ventech Systems in Petone to sponsor one of his extreme enclosure for a good cause.

For the official photo shoot, a lot of the businesses supported Daniel on his big day and came out to the site at St. Joseph’s School in Upper Hutt. Even the school kids will be able to use the new weather data and find out about wind gusts and microclimate once Daniel Talbot’s station is up and running.

“It’s a very exciting project and great that the dream of such an enthusiast like Daniel can become a reality for everyone to profit. For us at Ventech Systems, we are happy to be able to support the cause and set up another one of our cabinets”, comments Dennis Hill on site.

Ventech Enclosures are being used by MetService, energy providers and regional councils around the country, to keep their high-tech equipment including batteries in a safe and stable environment under extreme weather conditions – often off grid.
