Urgent Site Deployment Update
Following on from the rapid DMR tier III site deployment for a forestry operation we have now added a solar array power supply to save on generator refueling and maintenance. The generator remains in place for backup to provide a high reliability site. It is fair to say that the cost of frame work and installation is more than that of the panels themselves. On high altitude sites we decrease the vertical spacing, increase the number of horizontals, use cross bracing on the verticals legs, and increase the vertical leg depths all to detailed engineering design for the wind loading at the site.
